I've finished sewing the doll quilt 16 patches. All that is left now is to sew the top together. This has been such a fun little project to start off 2010. 
I sit down with this 9 patch quilt nearly every evening to quilt a fan. It's about 1/2 finished now. I'm starting to get excited about quilting the borders. I will try feathers if I can figure out how to mark them. 
And to my absolute delight - in my mailbox this morning was a package from Carrie P. full of wonderful quilty things. 
She said she was going to send me a button. :0) For someone I've never met in person she really knows what I like. There is a magazine, the bird button (which I just love) a generous handful of vintage buttons, cute pink rick rack wrapped around a wooden spool and a pretty fat quarter. What a lovely surprise!! I'm feeling very spoiled.Happy Quilting!!
