boys can sew!

Yesterday I taught my 5 year old son how to sew and it was marvelous! I've taught lots of kids to sew - I was a Home Ec teacher for a few years - and I taught my 2 older daughters. I just never expected to share sewing with my son. It was his idea and he liked it so much that today he finished his own pajama pants. He sure likes using the machine - the shirt is next! I don't know how long it will last but I'm loving it! :0)

I think that is great! Neither one of my daughter is interested in sewing--I wish they were. I hope later in life at least one of them will catch the bug. What a fun thing to share with your child.

How wonderful. Did he enjoy posting the picture of his pants as much as enjoyed making them?

A good skill to learn! My son will get the machine out to mend if it can't wait until I visit. I remember his enthusiasm when he was young like yours!
