Ta Da! I finished the doll quilt top.
It was a great new project for a new year! Thanks so much Lori for your excellent instructions. I'd like to quilt it by hand but there are so many seams and the pieces are small... so I'll put it off for a bit. I'm sure that will make the decision easier lol.
Now I must get back to my basket quilt. But I did just get a Dresden plate ruler that I haven't tried out yet... maybe I can do both :0)
Happy Quilting!!

Wow!!! Its beautiful!
Love it - must be tiny pieces!

Love the doll quilt, the directional red fabric really adds to the texture.
Yes, doing both is always a good idea and so is postponing the hand/machine quilting decision LOL.
Crispy
Lovely!!! Machine or hand quilting would be great- either way! I really love the colors you chose.
Great minds think a-like! :o) It is matching up all those seams that was the real challenge!! I must admit I didn't match them all! :o)
Wow, I really like it a lot.Congrats on a finished top.
Nice finish. I loved to see you sewed with you son. I too was a HEc teacher and taught both my boys to sew besides my three nieces. Now I've started with my grandnieces. Isn't it fun to see a five year old handle a sewing machine.
It's gorgeous in red white and blue!
very cool

Your doll quilt is beautiful. I love the choice of red you used with the blue and white.
Oh how cute! The red, white and blue is darling, and I love the stripes going both ways. That really adds interest to it.
This is so sweet in red, white and blue! I'd been seeing it all over blogland in the cheddar, browns and pinks...fun to see variety of a beautiful pattern!!
Very, very pretty....love your colors!
Hi -
I really like your version of the doll quilt. Thanks for posting!
Red, white, & blue. A different color combo than the others I have been seeing. Looks good.
Wonderful choice of colours !

Friend, I missed this. Wow!!! Now this almost inspires me to make another. Not quite since I almost died trying to finish on a two-day marathon but gee wiz... You give a girl something to think about here. Oh dear me I probably could get it whipped out much faster this second time around and OMG WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! This isn't on my plan you silly. Oh dear....
