It is the Bride block for my Bird of Paradise block. As you can see there is no Bride yet ... :0)
Just because projects are progressing slowly doesn't mean I'm not dreaming about new ones - lol. I should stay away from my LQS. This fabric I bought yesterday is just delightful. It's "Home to Roost" by Renee Nanneman. I have a few different ideas running through my head as to what to do with it. If only I had more time to sew...
Books are a constant source of new ideas too. This is what I've been looking at lately. The Swedish Quilts book is from the library so it'll have to go back - it was very interesting. The Civil War Sewing Circle is sort of a late Christmas present - Kathleen Tracy puts together such lovely books.
I hope to have something finished to show next post.
Happy Quilting!!

The applique looks beautiful and a sneak peek is great. I love the bird fabric.
Wow your appliques is so beautiful Janet!! I can hardly wait to see the whole thing. It's so hard to get things done when you can only snatch moments for quilting....but you certainly make lovely things when you do :0)

Really love the fabric you are using in your apples. The bird fabric is wonderful, and that new Kathleen Tracy book is on my wish list too! Can't wait to see how you use the bird fabric - have you seen the bird fabric in the William Morris line?
Your bride block is coming along nicely. Every block on the CWBQ has the time invested of some whole quilt tops, but what an acomplishment each block is. The little bird fabric is wonderful.
I love that bird fabric - I have some of it myself. Can't wait to see how you use it.
Your applique' block is lovely.
Your block is looking great. Love the fabric you used in the apples.
Can't resist the bird fabric. I bought some of it with no idea of what I could use it for. I'd love to see where you plan to use it. My imagination stretched as far as a border!
