courthouse steps

When I get a few minutes to sit down at my sewing machine (sometimes it is very few) I have continued to make these courthouse steps blocks and add them to the pile.
I hadn't laid them out in a long while so yesterday I thought I'd see how many I had.
Turns out I have 70 blocks! I really like them :0) There are enough for a lap quilt but as I enjoy making them - I will continue and see if I can get up to twin size. When we get a really cold night (just about every night lately) a couple of my kids are scouting about for extra quilts to put on their beds. A homemade quilt surely must be warmer than one from the store ... right? ;0)
Happy Quilting!!

I worked on a log cabin quilt off and on for several years (it was my between projects project) before you knew it I had enough blocks for a King Size bed!

Oh these are so delightful. Love the colors that pop out! It makes me smile that you're enjoying making them so much, too. That's why we quilt! I needed this inspiration, Janet. What a great share this is tonight.

Feeling a little more at peace, *karendianne.

I love that these have grown from a little sewing here and there. They look wonderful. Definitely warmer than a store bought one and a good excuse to make another quilt.

Love your log cabin blocks - amazing how much we can get accomplished with the little bits of time. Quilts made by Mom are the warmest there are because they are made with love! Used to love seeing my daughters and their friends curl up with quilts I made - it always made me smile!
