setting squares

I had a lovely morning of sewing with my guild on Saturday. I pulled out these BOM blocks from awhile back and started making setting squares for them.
There are 16 BOM blocks in all (you can see them all here in this post) I only have 5 setting squares made so I just laid out a few to get an idea of how it looks.
I'm pretty sure I will set them on point but its fun to consider options :0)

It will be a pretty big quilt by the time I get it all together. Why do I let these projects sit so long in the closet??

Happy Quilting!!

Why indeed? This is lovely! And I know why or at least can relate -- lots of projects in the closet here too.

Great choice of setting blocks! Maybe letting the blocks sit for a bit gave you the time to be sure about how to set them?
I'm great at making excuses for setting projects aside for a bit..if you need more..just let me know! LOL
I look forward to seeing more of this gorgeous quilt. :)

I love the blocks and how you're setting them. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt. I think I'll pull out a couple of oldies from the cupboard too, I'm looking at them with fresh eyes.

Janet, this is a real gem! Your setting squares are perfect: I love the colours you chose, and I can't wait till you start putting more of them together... I can anticipate wanting to crawl under this quilt, :). I have come to accept that for everything there is a perfect time: and this also applies to our projects, so I agree whole-heartedly with Janet T. : Fresh eyes, is key!

Beautiful! I love the movement that your setting squares are giving the blocks. It just makes your eye move from one to the next and then each block looks special in its own way! It's going to be a lovely quilt!

Very very pretty. The setting blocks make your eye go to other blocks which is good.
