I do want to make a bowl of cherries quilt one day.... But this week I started something else :0)
I have always liked this signature/chimney sweep block. Last year my husband and sister threw a birthday party for me and I thought it would be an excellent time to gather some signatures. They've been sitting in an envelope for a year and a half. Yesterday seemed like the perfect time to dig them out and get going!
So it works out perfectly - I have all the fun and excitement of starting a new project but technically I can still call it a ufo - lol.
Happy Quilting!

It isn't a bowl of cherries, but it looks like a fun project!
Your blocks are lovely, and I am looking forward to seeing the quilt in the future!
Those cherries look beautiful - so bright and glistening! You know how I love the cherries, anyway... Really like the album quilt pattern you chose - the fabrics look great together.
How fun to have a post inspired by one of your blocks :0) Hooray for working on a UFO!!

One of my top five favorite blocks. Love how yours are looking!
I love the chimney sweep block too. How nice to get your signatures set. Yours looks great!
I've always liked that patern too. It's so nice that you've got a great block to stitch those siggies into. It will be a nice memory quilt.
Those cherries look so pretty! It's no wonder they've inspired quilts/blocks in the past. Cherry pie sure sounds good too.
Wow, what a thrill to be recognized by Barbara Brackman! Of course we all know what beautiful work you do. I have always loved those album blocks also. Great idea to collect signatures from family members.
Love this block too! I have done a family signature quilt for Christmas and I treasure it.
I am new at your blog and so pleased to find you!
Carolyn :)
Nice when Barbara Brackman links back to your blog. Think your signature blocks will work out pefectly.
A fun new project to start and a new memory too. I went cherry picking last year and it was fun and they sure are pretty on the trees.
