I haven't been posting lately but a whole lot of sewing has been going on. Next Tuesday I need to deliver the 2 quilts I have entered to be in the annual outdoor quilt show. Ask me if they are finished yet? :0) These are the two quilts. I have every expectation that they will be finished in time.
Last night I quilted the year and my initials into my Corn and Beans quilt. It`s a bit hard to see in the hst`s but it`s there as a surprise for anyone who looks closely. This quilt I have been machine quilting. It`s a big heavy monster and I can`t wait to be finished. DD2 has been patiently waiting for months for this to be done. On Mother`s Day I found a few hours to do the free motion feathers I wanted in the border. They don`t show up too well either as the border print is busy but, I know they`re there :0)
I should be back next week with 2 finishes!
Happy Quilting!!

I love the idea of quilting in the year and initials into a quilt, so simple, wonder why I don't think of these great ideas.
I can see it. What a clever idea. My favorite quilts are scrappy quilts and I love yours!
An outdoor quilt show sounds fun. Your quilts are so pretty and scrappy looking.
Both of these quilts are scrappy fun. Love to see that hand quilting; it's beautiful.
beautiful wow two wonderful finishes. I love doing things like that too, finding surprises in quilts when you really study them is fun. I am starting to hand quilt more and wanting to put my initials in more of my quilts and the date too.
glad you did this
btw your feather border looks wonderful I can see it!

Your quilts are wonderful and I love the date and initials you put in. I'll be filing that idea away. Good luck with the finishing off.
They look great. Congrats on getting them done in time. :)
Can't wait to see them in the show.
Your quilting details are wonderful. I love to find quilted letters and dates.
Your LC is just fantastic! Your feathers are beautiful
I love quilting in initials and things like that, as a reward for those who study it - it's fun! Both your quilts look lovely!
