I've been working away on all the usual projects so I don't have much new to share. I did get together with my friend to work on our circle blocks. This block was interesting to put together. I still have to applique the circle in the center but I'm going to wait until the outer edge gets sewn into a square so I don't stretch it as there is so much bias and I'm afraid to handle it too much.
I also received an exciting little package in the mail all the way from Australia!! I won a giveaway over on Meredithe's blog Pomegranate and Chintz.
I haven't done much hand piecing before. I think it will be fun to try out these templates and make some flying geese. There are templates for 2 sizes. I should probably try making some larger ones first?
Happy Stitching!!

Wow! What an interesting circular block. I am trying to figure it out. You have done so well piecing it. Is it partially paper pieced?
Oooo! This is my favorite circle block so far...did you invent it?!? I see it is 4 fan blocks...SO COOL! I just love your Susan McCord quilt...that is such a stunning heirloom!
Teresa :o)
What a cool block! Congrats on the template win. I haven't hand pieced yet either.
Very nice circle block... I'm wondering too, if it's partially paper pieced. Love your fabric and color choices!
The circle block is totally awesome. Congratulations on the new templates. They should be fun to use!
Is that one of the blues you're considering for the block border? Are you ready for the next block? Still tracing templates on this end... :)
I was thinking how fabulous the circle block is then I remembered that I have the same project. Sadly I think it's going to be awhile until I can get back to it. Congrats on the nice win.
very neat new circle block! turned out great.
congrats on the win, looking forward to seeing what you think of hand piecing. I'm terrible at it, lol
