ufo that needs attention

I thought I would post another UFO - maybe by showing it I will get back to working on it. I don't think I have worked on this quilt in well over a year. I made all the blocks I thought I wanted, set them on point and then made the mistake of laying it out on my bed. Once I saw it on my bed I thought maybe I should make it into a queensize quilt. However, that's a lot more blocks to make and so it has sat on my shelf. I still really like it but maybe its time to just put a border on it, quilt it and move on. What do you think?
This next quilt is the one that we sleep under every night. I made it about 6 years ago. I think I must like red, blue and tan quilts :0) Twelve years ago, my husband built this bed - in the living room of our 1 bedroom apartment with tools he bought with our wedding money. There was dust everywhere! Recently I've been thinking about painting it ... in my spare time. LOL

Maybe just finish it as it is and hand it on the wall in your bedroom? Both quilts are very pretty!- Jennie

I'd get some borders on it and get it done...it is far too pretty to stay on the shelf.

BTW love the quilt on your bed...very pretty.

our husband is a talented man!
If it's unlikely that lovely quilt will get finished by making it bigger, leave it smaller and have it done, then you can move on to the next one. It would still look great in your room with the other quilt, maybe as a nap quilt.

I sure would finish it. There are a lot of romantic type fabrics that could be used as a wide border, but whatever you do, get it done. It's very pretty! You can use two quilts!

Paint the bed? mmmm not sure on that one. Leave it up to DH.

Those are both great quilts! I always love that color combo as well. Love the bed your hubby made. My son's both work in wood and one has a headboard living in his livingroom until he accomplishes the next step. At least he can work in the garage!

I like your little quilts...the snowman and the baby Jesus tree skirt. Very nice. I sometimes like to work small. Oh, okay, I always like to work small. :)

Once a quilt has sat for a while, I think you are bet to put the boarders on and get it finished. It will look great either way.
