Do you get in a panic if you are away from home and run out of handwork to do? :0) We were away for a few days last week and I took this applique project along to work on - it's border panel #3. I finished all the applique that I brought with me and had to just sit idle. My fingers were just itching to get home and sew.
I've got border panel #4 all ready to go now. After that I have the corners to figure out. Then, I have at least 2 other applique projects I want to get started on - I don't have time to sit there with idle hands!! lol
This last picture is of the lovely fabric I won in a giveaway over at Vicki and Jan's blog What a load of Scrap. The package took nearly 3 weeks to get here - I think half of Canada Post must have been on holidays. Thanks so much Vicki and Jan!
Happy Quilting!!

What a wonderful win you had :0)
Crispy
I understand your idle hand syndrome! It drives me nuts!!
What a nice lovely stack of fabric.
I always bring more that can be finished .... like you, I hate to just sit idle.
Lovely applique ..... :o)
Seeing your lovely hollyhocks reminds me that it is time to sow some seeds for 2 yrs. from now blooming.
Love that black background!! I totally feel your "empty hands" pain. My sister got stung yesterday and thought she might need to go to the ER -- I loaded up my applique basket just in case. No need to sit for hours in the emergency room without some hand work! Some benedryl cured her hives and swelling, though, and the Circuit Rider block and I returned home, more's the praise. No more guilt, though, about leaving a "to go" applique basket by the door!
One day I would like to grow holly hocks. I really do like them.
I don't like to sit idle either but with my elbow I do have to take more breaks than I want.
Oh, what a perfect giveaway for you to win. The fabric is you.
Love your hollyhocks - my favorite too. My youngest daughter is named Holly, so we both love them and that is her nickname! I always take way too much handwork with me, and always a good mystery novel for the very reason you mentioned. Love your win - cool fabs!
I know that itch!!! LOL and what fabulous fabrics to have won... Lucky girl!
