too much new stuff

Thanks for all your kind comments!! A couple friends helped me decide on one of the prints and now that both the "funny shapes" match, I am much happier with the block.I have not been very disciplined lately. I've started 3 new projects in the last week. I haven't got too far on any of them yet. I don't know how I'll ever get to the end of my ufo's if this is what I do. :0)

I have been wanting to make this scrappy blue quilt ever since I bought Kathleen Tracy's book "Remembering Adelia". I've had lots of fun rummaging through my stash choosing fabric. I have only one block made so far and I sized it down from 12 inches to 8 to make a smaller quilt.

I won a giveaway over at Megan's blog. She sent these 8 beautifully appliqued setting triangles and a stack of lovely blue fabrics to go with them. I don't know what I'll make with them yet - they will have to wait until after Christmas I think. Thanks Megan!

Happy Quilting!!

What beautiful projects! I'm loving those appliqued setting triangles, and their partner fabrics. And I SOOOO want to start Civil War Bride :-) Got the Baltimore Halloween BOM in the mail today -- another I want to delve into. What shall we do, Janet!?! LOL Keep on quilting, I suppose!! (At leave we're not driving while we do! LOL)
Blessings,
Mary Lou

I love the changes you made to your block. It turned out wonderfully.

I can't believe how quickly you've started on the stars. Wow, you have been busy.

So.... Where's the table runner!!! :)

I really think I should stop reading blogs because I keep being reminded of projects I would like to make! There are quite a few little quilts in "Remembering Adelia" I'd like to make.

Hey...CWB#2 looks fabulous! I always thought of those funky shaped things to be buds that are about to open, but who knows!! When I did my bride, I had trouble discerning those weird leaves (or birds or whatver they are) in the upper corners on block#1. I finally decided on leaves and tucked them behind the flowers.

Congrats on winning that beautiful project in motion...I remember drooling over that when she announced her give-away. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

I hope your daughter (?) keeps going with the triangle project. If she can tackle that, she can do practically anything!

Love the change to the block...really pretty. What a great win, it will be fun seeing what you come up with.

I had to laugh at your lack of dicipline but then variety IS the spice of life LOL.

Loved the last version of your block - but I agree that the new one is even better! The blue block is awesome - love, love that green you used! Isn't the Amelia book wonderful? Gave it to my mom for her 70th birthday.

Oh, I see now the changes you made to your block. I kept thinking this was an old post and then I scrolled down and saw some new things.
What a great win. Love those blues.
I am so bad about starting new projects. It makes quilting interesting.
