more 6 inch blocks

I am still having fun playing in my scraps.  Six more blocks have been added to the pile.
Most of the recent blocks come from this Once More around the Block book.  I have about 10 more block patterns all picked out.  I can't stop now!
I wasn't planning on making a big quilt of 6 inch blocks but - maybe...
This weekend I noticed that 2 of the blocks are the exact same pattern. One is scrappier than the other - can you spot it?  :0)
I decided to try free motion quilting in the petals.  I settled on feathers -the only shape I can free motion quilt with any confidence.
Now I have to stay focused - I'm giving myself one week to finish all the petals.  2 weeks from today the quilt needs to be bound and delivered to the show venue.  Will I make it??

Happy Quilting!

Lovely feathers! I knew you'd come up with something special for the petals :)
I think I have spotted the blocks that are the same - but it took a while... Don't they look super all together?!

Your scrappy quilt is so pretty and colorful, they all go together so well. Isn't it fun to go through your scraps and find fabric you have forgotten about but really like? Your quilting is gorgeous, nothing like a quilt show to make us finish our quilts.

I too think I found the two "duplicate" blocks. I just love all those little blocks you've made!

I love those little blocks and have been thinking about making a big sampler quilt ... there are so many blocks I'd like to make but not nearly enough time to make quilts from each one of those blocks. So maybe a sampler quilt is what I need to make. And I think I'll check out that book ... it would be nice to have a source for the patterns.

All those different fabric scraps work so well together. I looked but the duplicate blocks didn't pop out to me. I can see where it would be addictive to just keep sewing.
