some Christmas gifts :0)

This weekend my sister and her family are visiting so some gifts have been opened early :0)  But first, a little handquilting update.
I was stumped about what to quilt in the lily flower shape.  After looking at lots and lots of antique quilt pictures I decided on parallel lines - LOL!  Actually, I'm very happy with it and have 8 done already
Here's a picture of how it looks from the back.  A picture of nothing for some I'm sure but I like to look at the back :0)
Now for the gifts - I made these little purses/pouches for my 2 little nieces and my youngest daughter.  I saw a picture of one somewhere on the internet and decided I could whip up a few.
My nieces don't like cherries so I made theirs with apples.
I put in lots of pictures.
As soon as they opened them they ran off to play mystery investigators??
Their smiles and hugs were very rewarding! (Maybe the straps are a tad too long though)

In case I don't get a chance to post again before the 25th I wish you a very Merry Christmas!!

Happy Quilting!

I love seeing your hand quilting from the back, sometimes it gives a clearer picture of how it looks. The parallel lines are a great choice, simple but very effective. All girls love a new bag!

What a cute photo of the girls with their new cute bags! They turned out great and perfect to carry so many things.
Your quilting stitch is so so good! what size needle do you use and do you rock your stitch? The lines looks very nice. Love seeing the back too.
Wish I could feel it, I love to feel hand quilting.
Have a very Merry Christmas!

Cute girls with cute bags. Their smiles were a definite giveaway that the bags were a hit. Your hand quilting is lovely and the simple parallel lines make the flowers stand out. I'm always looking at the back and rubbing my hand over the stitches, it feels so good.

Sweet photo of the girls and their special bags. Makes me smile thinking of the fun times they will enjoy together with the bags. Your quilting, as always, is beautiful! Of course looking at the back in process is part of the fun isn't it? Well done!
Wishing you and yours all the best in 2016!
