crib quilt

I finished the crib quilt for my sister's baby. No sign of the wee one yet but she's due any day now. I washed it up so it would be soft and a bit crinkly.
My littlest daughter is 21 months old now - she "helped" with a prop for a second picture. :0)
I was away in Vancouver last weekend (my other sister had her 3rd son) And while it looks like winter here, in Vancouver there are still flowers blooming.
I don't know what kind of flower it is and I'm pondering how I would applique it - the petals are interesting.
Happy Quilting!

I can't decide which I like better - the quilt or the flower. Love the use of white in the quilt. Quite striking!

The quilt is wonderful, lucky baby. If your sisters are all having babies, that's a good excuse to make small quilts.

Lovely baby quilt! Baby quilts are such a joy to make. I always feel the joy and anticipation of the event while sewing. And what a striking flower! A mum perhaps?

Nice and cuddly quilt just waiting for a new baby. Cute bear too.
That flower is neat. Never seen one like that before.

I love the modern-ness of that quilt. That's kind of what I'd like to see on my own bed one day, but I just can't find the time for a new obsession in my life.

your "Square Deal" quilt is simply adorable for your niece or nephew. love those colors. I have one started using 1930's repos... and need to unearth it again so I can finish it up - I had forgotten how pretty it is!

and what an amazingly beautiful flower you photographed while visiting Vancouver!! wow!

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Have just found your blog via someone elses and have really enjoyed trawling back through your pictures - fyi this plant is a version of the Cape Daisy called Osteospermum 'Whirligig' - we first discovered it in the Seigneurie Gardens on Sark in The Channel Islands in the English Channel - it is a stunning flower
