Mountain Trails

I have had so much fun making these blocks from Lori's latest Quiltalong.   They are so scrappy  :0)  I used a few uglies thinking they couldn't look too bad when the strips finish at 3/4 inch.

I haven't sewn them together yet.  They are fun to play with as they have so many possibilities.

 These big pinwheels.

 Set straight.
I really like this one.  I'll decide on the setting when I'm finished making blocks.

I'm going to make blocks until I run out of the red and white polka dot.  Then I might raid a friend's stash to get some more of it  (you know who you are ;0)  I might get 50 - 60 blocks altogether if I'm lucky.
Thanks so much Lori for another great quiltalong!
Happy Quilting!

well i don't see any 'uglies'. in fact i think these blocks are wonderful. love your use of the red polka dot fabric.
thanks for sharing the setting variations . . . i'm just getting to the sewing part on mine so i'll be thinking about how i might like to set them as i work them up.
i'm hoping to have some time tomorrow to get at least some of the blocks sewn up and seeing yours certainly is motivating~!!~

love seeing all the different settings. They are all winners - how making one of each, lol.
Wishing I had done this, but proud I'm sticking to current projects.
Thanks for sharing yours

How will you ever decide about the setting? All are very cute. I have bookmarked this and hope to get to it soon, as it is a DEFINITE winner! Congrats on getting so many finished!

Beautiful! so fun to see the many layouts. I'd love to dive into making that. Look at you with purple even! I always forget to add that. So fresh and sweet!

Gee, you think I'll finish a binding before you finish up the polka dots???

I can't decide which is my favourite configuration. You may have to play a little longer. :)

I have a thing right now for log cabin setting quilts, so fun to see all your choices. Will be fun to see which layout you choose and how many blocks you do get to make!
